Blue Hoshino – Japanese Premium Oolong from Yame

A rare creation, inspired by Taiwanese craftsmanship and refined in Yame, the land of a thousand tea masters.

1. An Oolong Making History in Japan

Japan is world-famous for green tea – but in the mountains of Hoshino (Yame), a tea master is venturing down unusual paths.

With passion, curiosity, and a desire to create something new, a tea has emerged that combines Japanese elegance with the floral character of a premium Oolong.

The Blue Hoshino opens with an aroma reminiscent of white blossoms, fresh mountain air, and delicate honey sweetness.

The taste is soft, clear, more floral than Sencha, yet rounder than classic Oolong teas – a delicate balance of aroma, lightness, and warmth.

A tea that demonstrates how innovative Japanese tea artistry can be.

2. Taste Profile

  • Aroma: floral, subtly sweet, delicately creamy

  • Taste: soft, elegant, floral-fresh, with fine depth

  • Texture: clear, velvety and harmonious

  • Finish: long, subtly sweet, warm

The Blue Hoshino evokes the floral notes of Taiwanese highland Oolongs – yet with the typical Japanese precision in processing.

3. Origin – Hoshino Village, Yame

This tea is produced in the picturesque Hoshino Valley, a region renowned for its tea masters, its misty valleys, and its dedication to perfection.

Here, the following combine:

✔ cool nights and warm days

✔ mineral-rich soils

✔ masterful tradition

✔ experimental tea culture

Blue Hoshino represents the result of years of research, passion, and genuine craftsmanship.

4. Special Feature – A Japanese Oolong with a Taiwanese Soul

The tea master Yamaguchi used for this tea:

  • Varieties such as Benifuki, Seishin Oolong & Izumi

  • traditional Taiwanese production methods

  • careful manual processing

The goal: An Oolong that smells floral, tastes clear, and retains Japanese elegance.

The result is a tea so special that only around 10 kg are produced per year – a true rarity.

At least 4 infusions are possible, each with new depth and nuance.

5. Preparation Recommendation

  • 3 g per 150 ml

  • 100 °C

  • 120 seconds

  • For further infusions: slightly reduce temperature and brewing time

This allows the Oolong to unfurl its unique floral harmony.

6. A Tea for Connoisseurs Seeking Something Special

The Blue Hoshino is no ordinary Oolong.

It is a small masterpiece of Japanese creativity – floral, light, refined, and extremely rare.

Ideal for quiet moments of indulgence and for all who wish to experience Japanese tea culture anew.
